Sam Rutherford

Sam started off as a Volunteer for Snow Angels at the start of lockdown in March 2020. She was on Maternity Leave from her role as a ‘Activity Coordinator’ at a Care Home. The Community Spirit of the time made her want to give back and with looking after twins, befriending phone calls were a great way to do this. The calls benefited our users as well as Sam. She enjoyed learning about other people’s life experiences and knowing she was helping fight the isolation and loneliness a lot of people were experiencing. She had heard first hand from clients how Snow Angels had been helping them and when a job opportunity came up for a Well being Coordinator she knew she had to apply!

Sam has worked with a range of people supporting those with mental health conditions, dementia and also a range of health issues. She works Monday and Tuesday covering Ellesmere Port and Chester.
