Sam started off as a Volunteer for Snow Angels at the start of lockdown in March 2020. She was on Maternity Leave from her role as a ‘Activity Coordinator’ at a Care Home and the community spirit at that time made her want to give back. While looking after her twins, befriending phone calls were a great way to do this. She enjoyed learning about other people’s life experiences and knowing she was helping fight the isolation and loneliness a lot of people were experiencing. She heard first hand from clients how Snow Angels had helped them and when a job opportunity came up for a Wellbeing Coordinator she knew she had to apply!
Sam has worked with a range of people supporting those with mental health conditions, dementia and other health issues. She works Monday and Tuesday covering Ellesmere Port and Chester.
